    Ed Hornick is a senior editor at Yahoo News focusing on special projects, politics, data visualization, innovative storytelling and editorial operations. He also contributes to The Yodel newsletter. Ed started at Yahoo in 2013 as a homepage and social media editor. Previously, he served as a political reporter and editor for CNN and HLN, covered local news for WABC-TV and KTTV-TV, wrote about elections for National Journal's "The Hotline" and Newsday, penned an advice column for the Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin newspaper as a teenager and reported for the award-winning, nationally syndicated WBNG-TV show "Action News for Kids" when he was 12 years old. Ed holds degrees in political science from the George Washington University (MA) and the University of Rochester (BA).
