Tom Ford on Dressing Melania Trump: 'She's Not Necessarily My Image'
In the fallout of the election, one key question that the fashion industry keeps returning to is whether or not designers who disagree with President-elect Donald Trump’s politics will refuse to dress his wife, future first lady Melania Trump. During an appearance Wednesday morning on The View, Tom Ford stated that he will join Sophie Theallet?as one of the designers who will not be outfitting Melania. “Even had Hillary won, she shouldn’t be wearing my clothes,” said Ford.

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, former Vogue?special events director who helped plan the Met Gala, has reportedly been tapped to help with planning the presidential?inauguration events. Wolkoff, a 6″1′ blonde with model good looks, who also led the way in moving Fashion Week to Lincoln Center, was spotted at Trump Tower this week with Tom Barrack, chairman of President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural committee, reports Page Six. Sources tell the gossip site that Wolkoff is a senior adviser to Barrack.

Dorothy's Red Slippers Need $300,000 to Be Saved
It will take more than three clicks of the heels to preserve the ruby slippers that whisked Dorothy back to Kansas at the end of The Wizard of Oz. The slippers, which for more than 30 years have been one of the most beloved items at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History, were crafted almost 80 years ago by the MGM Studios prop department. On Monday, the Smithsonian asked the public to help save the slippers, launching a Kickstarter campaign to raise $300,000.

Kate Hudson's Fashion Company Exec Sues for Wrongful Termination
A former vice president for Kate Hudson’s activewear company Fabletics says she was wrongfully terminated after taking medical leave to treat an Ambien addiction, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday in L.A. County Superior Court. Talitha Peters is suing Fabletics, along with parent company TechStyle, for a host of claims including disability discrimination, retaliation and invasion of privacy. Peters says after she was promoted to vice president of creative in July 2014, the job stress took a toll and her doctor prescribed Ambien to help her sleep at night.

Beastie Boys, 'Girls' Viral Video in Copyright Infringement Fight
This week, a toy company called Goldieblox ignited a chatterstorm with a video of three girls playing with a Rube Goldberg-type contraption and singing alternative lyrics to the Beastie Boys song "Girls." Since the video went up on Monday, it has been viewed more than seven million times and fueled discussion about how to get young girls interested in pursuing scientific careers.But apparently not everyone is thrilled with the viral video. According to a lawsuit filed on Thursday by Goldieblox, "the Beastie Boys have now threatened GoldieBlox with copyright infringement.
