T-Pain Has A Pickle Rick Drift Car Again
T-Pain’s “Rick And Morty”-themed Pickle Rick drift car is the subject of a story that has dragged on for years. The short version is that this car was a pretty standard LS-powered Nissan S14 drift build, and T-Pain loaned it to his mechanic and friend for use in a television show. On that show it got pretty seriously wrecked. That friend never really made it right, but after a couple of years of complete rebuild, the Pickle Rick S14 is back. The car made its grand debut at Gridlife last weekend in Wiscansin. Tallahassee Pain is a genuinely cool dude, and it’s awesome to see him so excited about getting his car back.
I turned myself into a car Morty. Boom, big reveal. I’m a car, what do you think about that? I turned myself into a car!
Mr. Pain started drifting somewhat seriously in 2018, and has gradually progressed to the point he now has his own squad of drifters called Nappy Boy Automotive. This Nissan is one of his three main drift cars, which includes a RTR Mustang and a BMW. The Nissan is powered by a GM LS3 crate motor, pushing at least 430 horsepower to the ground. While the car needed a bunch of body work and some frame straightening, it might as well get a new widebody kit, and a Rocket Bunny Pandem V2 BOSS kit was grafted on, making the S14 look like a tiny Dodge Challenger.
At the end of the day T-Pain is just out here living his best life and having fun with his semi-professional hobby. He’s still touring and still making music, but when he wants to have fun, he gets behind the wheel of his pickle car and turns his spare money into tire smoke. Drifting should be about having fun, and not taking itself too seriously. T-Pain, it seems, is doing just that.
