Anne Hathaway Reveals the Horrible Post-Baby Gym Encounter That Made Her Cry
Anne Hathaway had a baby exactly eight week ago -- but you'd hardly know it by looking at her.
The Alice Through the Looking Glass star gave birth to her first son, Jonathan, on March 24 and opened up about one horrible post-baby gym encounter during an appearance on Tuesday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
"I've been out of the house a couple of times. I've been to the gym. I went to the gym three times," she revealed. "Being a mom has changed me in a couple ways. I actually, not based on this moment but other moments, feel a lot more confident."

"You know the people who have too many muscles to be in the Avengers? That's who works out at my gym," she explained. "So, I would normally walk in and feel so intimidated. But I walk in and I'm like, 'Yeah, I work out with five-pound weights, but I pushed a baby out of my body! I feel good right now!'"
Hathaway felt even better when she caught a guy who "looked like Thor's trainer" staring at her and thought he was hitting on her -- "Nice, new mom!" she told herself. Then he told her he actually was a trainer.
"I'm expecting him to say the thing that you say when someone says that they've had a baby. Which is, 'Oh my God! You look great!' Doesn't matter if it's true," she said. "So, I say to this guy I had a baby seven weeks ago and he goes, 'Oh, trying to lose the baby weight!'"
"I just mustered up my dignity and say, 'No, it's a little bit too soon to worry about weight. I'm just trying to regain my strength,'" Hathaway concluded. "He said, 'Great' and walked away and I cried a little bit."

The 33-year-old Oscar winner looked fabulous at Monday night's premiere of Alice Through the Looking Glass in Hollywood, where she showed a bit of skin in a sexy floral dress.
"I'm wearing Christopher Kane. I've known Christopher for many years and I love him and when I think of a great English designer, I think of him," she told ET of how she decided on the frock. "He's so idiosyncratic and so talented. So, I reached out to him and said, 'Want to just let your imagination go wild?'"
Unfortunately, Anne's husband, Adam Shulman, had to stay at home with their newborn, so the premiere couldn't double as a date night -- especially with his wife in that gown.
"He knows where my heart is," she said with a laugh. "He's got nothing to worry about."
When ET recently sat down with Hathaway, she opened up more on shedding pregnancy weight and how "spectacular" of a dad Shulman is. Find out more in the video below.
