Boy With Rare Condition Can Only Eat a Few Things in Life ... Thankfully Chick-fil-A Waffle Fries Is One of Them
A six-year-old boy in Houston has a rare condition that is triggered by 90 percent of food on the entire planet and can only ingest seven items. One of those foods is Chick-fil-A’s waffle fries, and the tough little guy was able to get a welcomed treat from his favorite fast food restaurant.
As reported by local outlet KHOU, Christopher Cataldo has not stepped foot inside a Chick-fil-A franchise for the past four years but got his wish when a restaurant opened near his Texas home. Last Wednesday, Cataldo was the guest of honor at franchise owner’s Brad Munson’s store and even named Cataldo as the owner of the establishment.
Little Chris was all smiles as he toured his “new business venture” while Mom Kellie Cataldo looked on with pride. She tells KHOU that Chris dreams of opening his ownChick-fil-A when he gets bigger so that he’ll have a place to go in order to enjoy a meal. Chris rarely makes public appearances as his condition severely weakens his immune system, but it appears the risk was worth the reward when he was able to nosh on some of those delicious fries.
Making the experience even more thrilling, Chris was able to take customer orders, operate the drive-thru, and even cooked an order of fries before having some fun in the store playground before sitting down for his special meal.
“Yeah, yummy, thumbs up,” said Chris of his meal atChick-fil-A. Mom was especially grateful to Munson for opening his doors to her son and making him a part of a memory that will undoubtedly last a lifetime.
Hey, Chris, let us have one of those fries!
