Celebs Go Nude for the May Issue of Allure

Jordana Brewster and Laverne Cox are baring it all in the May issue of Allure, on newsstands April 28. The actresses are just a few of the names stripping down for photographer Norman Jean Roy for the new issue—and they look really good doing it.
Brewster, who stars in the most recent installment from The Fast and the Furious franchise, Furious 7, tells Allure, “There’s a strength to the portrait that I’m really proud of.” She continues in saying that it’s thanks to all of those tight dresses from her Furious films she’s made fitness a part of her life.

This is spread is a huge moment for actress Laverne Cox, who stars in the Netflix series Orange is the New Black, and is a black transgender woman. “I said no initially, thought about it, and said no again,” she tells the magazine. “I felt this could be really powerful for the communities that I represent. Black women are not often told that we’re beautiful unless we align with certain standards. Trans women certainly are not told we’re beautiful.” Cox hopes that her photo will inspire others to embrace and love their bodies despite their imperfections.
Also appearing in the spread are actresses Katheryn Winnick, Nicole Beharie and Sandrine Holt, who join the ranks of Kristen Bell, Debra Messing, and Chelsea Handler, actress who have all appeared stripped down in past spreads for the magazine.
