What works for daytime, doesn’t always work for night. A beautiful nude face that can look radiant during the day, can look washed out under evening lighting. Here are a few ways to take your look from office to evening.
Begin by applying under-eye concealer. Yellow-toned concealers are designed to lighten darkness under your eyes, which makes the eye area appear brighter and more lifted.
If you plan on putting on new layer of foundation, layer moisturizer first. It helps even out skin to ensure the most seamless makeup application.
I like to warm foundation between my fingers before applying so that it blends seamlessly into the skin.
When it comes to color, the key is to accentuate either your eyes or lips. Using bold colors all-over will only make your features compete for attention.
For eyes, try some sparkle. Use a cream formula that’s easier to apply than liquids. Dab on cream shimmer with a finger and gently tap it into your skin rather than using a rubbing motion. Place the product all over the lower lid for a pretty sweep of shimmer.
Experiment with more vibrant color and different textures. Try gold infused blues ,bronzes, greens, more intense shades that you don’t normally wear in the daytime, they can look amazing at night.
If you normally wear a matte shadow, try shimmer. If you usually wear powder liner during the day, try a liquid liner. If you always wear neutral lipsticks, try a bold color or change up the look with a gloss.
You can keep a nude daytime color for cheeks and lips, just add a smoky eye to amp up your look.
To really make eyes pop, use really black eyeliner and a couple of coats of lengthening or volumizing mascara. Winged or cat-eye liner are an easy tweak to enhance your everyday liner.
If you want to play up your lips, go bold, matte, and bright. If you aren’t ready for such a major statement go with sheer color in a stain or gloss, but keep the color bright.
