Is This Bizarre Haircut the Latest Trend?

There’s a new beauty video making the rounds on Facebook, featuring a haircut the poster, BarberShapp (who is probably delighted we’re writing about this video), calls a “new trend in the making.” Once you start watching, it’s hard to look away — not because the cut is beautiful or easy to copy, but because it takes a few playbacks to figure out what’s going on and how to feel about it. Picture Rooney Mara’s blunt “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” haircut taken to the next level — the model’s blond hair is cut into sharp layers, with a thin, back-combed pouf remaining at the bottom.

New punk trend? Viral joke? It’s hard to tell what the video actually is. We’re going to go ahead and call this one of the strangest haircuts we’ve seen in a while.
