Jamie-Lynn Sigler Debuts Dramatic New Haircut: 'New Do Cuz Why Not'

Jamie-Lynn Sigler is the latest celeb to chop it all off. The actress just went to makeover queen Riawna Capri to rid herself of some “dead weight.” The new look? A wavy lob with choppy layers.

“Took it up a few today,” wrote Sigler as she debuted the chop on Instagram. Her reasons are simple: “New do cuz why not.” We love the idea that you don’t need a reason — other than maybe your latest paycheck — to treat yourself to a new look. Sigler did just buy a new home in the San Fernando Valley, so she could also be thinking “new house, new do.”

Sigler has been known to wear extensions in the past, so this may not be the last we’ve seen of her long, dramatic hair. One thing that hasn’t changed? Her rich, chestnut brown shade. But there’s something about a new cut that tends to make highlights pop, and we’re noticing more nuanced color in Sigler’s shorter ‘do.

Sigler isn’t the only one of Capri’s clients who’s chopping it off in the new year. Finally free from the Vampire Diaries role that forced her into long locks, Nina Dobrev celebrated with one of Capri’s blunt bobs. Capri is also responsible for Jennifer Lawrence’s famous textured lob.
