Jenna Dewan Tatum Looked Like Cleopatra at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards

It’s not every day that Jenna Dewan Tatum wears her hair in something other than her signature beach-waved lob, so when she hits the red carpet, it’s always exciting to see how her glam team will do her look. However, while we always love her glamorous awards-show style, it was Tatum’s latest public appearance that was especially eye-catching. The reason? Well, her hair and makeup look wasn’t resembling something off the runways, but rather looked more like a well-known historical figure’s.

Tatum attended this year’s Glamour magazine Women of the Year Awards Monday night with an exaggerated smoky eye and her hair parted down the center and flat-ironed stick-straight. One look at her and you’ll notice that she was giving off major Cleopatra vibes. See for yourself, below:

The makeup look, done by celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta, showed off a slight cat eye along Tatum’s dark-rimmed eyes. That, along with her pin-straight hair created by the Kardashians’ go-to hairstylist, Jen Atkin, made it almost impossible to miss Tatum’s resemblance to the queen of Egypt.

“This is sooooo stunning,” commented one viewer on Ta’s Instagram post debuting the look, with another fan writing, “That hair!!!! Wow.”

So, could the Egyptian goddess look be making a comeback? Considering the positive responses Tatum’s style got on social media, we have a feeling it is. To re-create the look yourself, simply divide your hair into a strict center part and straighten it sans added volume or texture. For the makeup, first use a dark shadow to smoke out the eyes and deepen the crease.
