L’Oréal Paris, whose past faces include Jennifer Lopez, Lara Stone, and Doutzen Kroes, has tapped modelSoo Joo Park to be its newest global spokesperson. She’s the first Asian-American to take the role. (You may recognize her from DKNY’s spring campaign and her stints on the runway—she walked Chanel and Moschino most recently).

Park talked about representing both L’Oréal Paris and Redken (of which she’s been a face since December) in an interview with Style.com. “I’m extremely honored and so happy because they’re both global brands that are known for pushing innovation and beauty that not only comes from the outside but also the inside,” she said. “With L’Oréal, it has just happened and is launching soon. And they’re announcing it on my birthday. I really couldn’t ask for a better present.”
"I like that they really take pride in their spokespeople," she added. "They have a personal relationship with all the people that they choose to represent the brand. I mean, to be alongside Jennifer Lopez, Lara Stone, Doutzen—not too shabby." Not too shabby at all. Congratulations!
