Madonna Announced She’ll Be at the Women’s March With a Shocking Photo
If anyone knows how to make a statement, it’s Madonna, who continues to be as provocative as she wants to be. The singer is rather outspoken about feminist issues, so it should come as little surprise that she would show her support for the Women’s March on Washington, which is scheduled to take place in D.C. on Jan. 21, just a day after Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Madonna announced that she will be at the march in an Instagram post with the kind of risqué image we quite frankly expect from her at the point. “1 Million Women’s March!! Be There,’ she wrote along with a host of women running, and American flag emojis. The photo she paired the caption with pictures a woman pulling down her underwear to reveal her pubic hair shaved into a Nike check mark design.
The Women’s March recently released its platform, which is radical, intersectional — and certain to ruffle a few feathers. Their document outlining their “Guiding Vision and Definition of Principles,” includes accountability for police brutality, reproductive freedom, family and childcare benefits, equal pay, environmental reform, strengthening unions for workers, equal voting rights, immigration reform and more.
The manifesto also calls for a broad law upholding equal rights. “We believe it is time for an all-inclusive Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Most Americans believe the Constitution guarantees equal rights, but it does not. The 14th Amendment has been undermined by courts and cannot produce real equity on the basis of race and/or sex. And in a true democracy, each citizen’s vote should count equally. All Americans deserve equality guarantees in the Constitution that cannot be taken away or disregarded, recognizing the reality that inequalities intersect, interconnect and overlap.”
