Peel-Off Foundation Is Now Something You Can Buy
It’s been a big year for bizarre beauty products, from edible bath bombs to carbonated and animal-themed face masks.
Foundation, meanwhile, has remained the classic, not-particularly edgy item in our makeup bags. Until now.
Peel-off foundation is the latest beauty trend to make you go “really?” It looks kind of intriguing, but is peel-off foundation really something we want or need?
Not4u Real Skin Patch is a Korean product; the company says its peel-off makeup creates a barrier between makeup and skin, particularly protecting the skin of those who are prone to breakouts.
Instead of using face wipes to remove this foundation after a long day, you just peel it off. A little like a peel-off face mask. The foundation also protects against pollution and other irritants.
But when YouTuber and beauty blogger Raye Boyce tried it out, the product did not exactly work as advertised. After putting on the peelable foundation, and layering her own makeup on top of it, the foundation began to peel.
“I think I’ll pass,” Boyce said in the video as she peeled off the rest of the makeup.
Sounds like we’ll be passing too.
