Expect to see Regina Yazdi’s name—and her awe-inspiring work—a lot more in the coming months. The Los Angeles–based illustrator and Otis College of Art and Design alum is catching the eyes of major beauty and fashion brands, as well as makeup artist Robin Black. Even her quick sketches (like of models backstage at Mugler Resort) are true works of art.

Dior’s resident artist, Jamie Lee Reardin, draws inspiration for her fantastical beauty and fashion drawings from Tim Burton, Walt Disney, and photographers Mert Alas, Marcus Piggott, and Tim Walker. One of her most recent projects was illustrating New York City Ballet’s 2015–2016 season brochure.

While this London-based illustrator specializes in dynamic portraits, the artist’s own identity is a secret. Fans include fashion photographer Nick Knight, makeup artist Pat McGrath, and Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele, who extended an invitation to sketch backstage at fashion week in Milan.

Katie Rodgers’s beautiful fashion illustrations err on the side of abstract—and so do her materials. She’s used everything from traditional paints to crystals, bobby pins, nail polish, and even an EOS lip balm.

Three years ago, Donald Robertson started uploading his bright, energetic illustrations and pictures of himself with fashion and beauty insiders to Instagram. Now, he is a creative director for Estée Lauder, has collaborated on a line of T-shirts with J.Crew, has created a collection for Smashbox, and was nominated for Instagrammer of the year by the CFDA. No big deal.
