YB Loves: An Ingenious New Way to Moisturize
Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer is the answer to smooth skin this summer. (Photo: Jergens)
Each day the editors of Yahoo Beauty are sharing one noteworthy product we feel should be on your radar. From the latest and greatest items that land on our desks to indie products with a cool backstory to the old standbys that have earned a permanent place on our vanities, trust us: You’ll want to check them out.
I have dry skin even in the summer, but if there’s one thing I hate it’s rubbing on body lotion that gets sticky, sweats off, or needs to soak in before I get dressed. Innovative in-shower moisturizers felt like a godsend this past winter — allowing me to hydrate, rinse, and go about my day — but sometimes I felt that I needed a follow-up dose of lotion within a few hours.
Lucky for me, Jergens took this concept to the next level with their new Wet Skin Moisturizers ($7). Now when I’m done showering I just turn off the water, grab my bottle of Jergens, and rub it in from my shoulders all the way down to my toes. Somehow the formula blends with the remaining water on your body and disappears, allowing you to lightly towel off and be done with it. For anyone in a rush or looking to maximize hydration, this is genius. We’ve all been told that it’s best to moisturize immediately after a shower when skin is damp so products can penetrate. Now you can do it before you even exit the shower — no awkward chilly application while dripping on your bathmat — and the waiting process is over. My skin stays soft and smooth all day long and I never even have to think about lotion anymore. Now that’s huge.
Choose from Nourishing Monoi Oil. Calming Green Tea Oil, or Refreshing Coconut Oil (my personal favorite).
