Celine Dion Breaks Down During Memorial Service For Husband René Angélil

Celine Dion returned to her Las Vegas residency to honor her late husband René Angélil, and it was understandably an incredibly emotional night.
The singer made an appearance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace to remember René following his tragic death last month following a long battle with throat cancer.

Speaking to the crowd, Celine shared: “This is my home away from home. At the same time I’m supposed to feel extremely comfortable being home and right now I’m not sure how comfortable I feel.
"I feel his love in this room. I feel his strength and his warmth being reflected in all of you. René always surrounded me with the best people who believed in us and always worked so hard on our behalf.”

The star also thanked the audience at the end of the night, saying: “On behalf of my family, thank you again for being here with us this evening for this beautiful tribute to mon amour. René I love you, so much, merci, good night.”
Celine has has been open about her incredibly difficult start to 2016, with her brother also passing away from cancer just two days after René.
She had previously thanked fans for their love and support, saying in a statement: “My family and I are deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support from so many people who have touched our lives during these past few days.
