Baby Steps! Coco and Ice-T’s Daughter Chanel Hit the Runway During New York Fashion Week

It’s Ice-T’s birthday today (he turns 59!), but his gift came a day early when he and his wife, Coco Austin, walked baby Chanel down her first fashion runway!

Chanel, 1, graced fashionistas with her baller athleisure style, courtesy of Nike’s Jordan brand. Decked out in some stylish red-and-black baby Jordan gear — and a matching bow on her head — Chanel was flanked by her mom and dad … and, of course, the entire event was captured on social media.

Coco shared some behind-the-scenes moments on Snapchat and Instagram, holding up Chanel’s runway look as Chanel sat on her knee, checking out the melee that surrounded her. “Look at these cute little Jordans,” Coco said, holding up the teeniest, tiniest, most adorable pair of sneakers you’ve ever seen:

The video goes on to show Coco and Ice similarly decked out in color-coordinated Jordan gear, with Coco sporting a pair of skintight black leggings with sheer panels, and Ice rocking a red-and-black warm-up suit and statement ball cap blaring the word “Re2pect.” The family paraded down the runway as a team:

When she made it to the end of the catwalk, Chanel struck a pose, which she proudly shared on Instagram. “My 1st fashion show!” she exclaimed. “I made it to the end of the runway and hit a standing pose. Of course we represented by wearing Nike gear for Jordan. Someday I will be able to walk it.”

Coco admitted Chanel was somewhat dazed by the experience, but hey, she is a baby after all!

So will Chanel follow in the footsteps of the many celebrity kids before her and look to become a professional model someday? It’s not outside the realm of possibility. From her Instagram feed, we can see she’s clearly quite photogenic. And we all know Coco considers Chanel her muse, as evidenced by how many pictures she shares of her sweet daughter. Chanel’s also reportedly appearing in Vintage NYC Magazine in the near future.

Regardless, it’s certainly an auspicious beginning if this is Chanel’s chosen vocation. How many 1-year-olds can say they made their debut during New York Fashion Week?
