Ice-T’s Daughter Chanel Inherited His ‘Mean Mug’
Even in a pink Minnie Mouse bathrobe and Mary Jane booties, we see the resemblance between Ice-T and his baby girl, Chanel.
His wife, Coco Austin, posted a photo of their 14-month-old offspring scowling for the camera, noting that the tot “got daddy’s frown down.” And she wasn’t exaggerating. Chanel rocked that pout we’ve seen many times before — from episodes of Law & Order: SVU to those Geico ads (“Ice-T?” “Lemonade!”).

The actor, 58, was proud his little girl inherited his killer look. On Wednesday morning, he shared the photo of her “mean mug” and gave it a double LOL.

Daddy and daughter don’t always look mean. There is so much love between them, as baby Chanel’s Instagram feed shows. Beach day for the shady pair:

The tough guy is a big softie when it comes to his youngest child. “I’m that … guy that you go, ‘Oh, my daughter…’ and before I know it I’m showing you pictures. I said that I’m not going to be that guy,” he told People last year. “But now I’m just like, ‘Wait, look,’ and, ‘Wait, look at this one,’ and, ‘Wait a minute, hold up.’ You can’t help it. You’re just happy.”
Already a dad to two grown kids when this one arrived, he said parenting is completely different this time around, explaining, “When I had my first kid, I was in the middle of the wildness of becoming Ice-T, all the people that were after me, and I had my head down. I really wasn’t concentrating on them; I was concentrating on survival. Now everything is a lot more mellow. We bring the baby home, she’s crying, I see her, they sleep with me every night. I’m really witnessing her grow every day, so I’m more conscious of it.”
And vice versa.
