Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton’s Christmas Eve Reunion Is Holiday Gold

Every now and then, something happens that makes you nostalgic for the aughts: This pic of Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton is one of those things. Late Tuesday night, Paris shared an Instagram snap of herself alongside her former bestie from Kris Jenner’s annual Christmas Eve bash on Saturday night.

Both ladies were decked out in their holiday finest and seemed to be having a grand time catching up. Paris wore a relatively conservative (for her) black lace dress, while Kim rocked a metallic gold number and a lip ring.

“Lovely evening celebrating the holidays with @kimkardashian,” Paris gushed. She included some emojis of sparkling stars and princesses wearing crowns, which seems about right. Kim did not post anything from their reunion, but she has yet to return to Instagram since her assault in Paris in October.

Though they looked chummy as ever, it was the first time the two have posed together on social media since Riccardo Tisci’s star-studded birthday party in Ibiza in 2014. Back then, Kim captioned a pic from the celebration, “Reminiscing about the 1st time we went to Ibiza in 2006! @parishilton it was so good to see you & catch up!! Loves it lol.”

It’s easy to forget how much has changed since those early days when these two started hanging out. Paris was, by far, the more famous and influential of the two. In fact, Kim was Paris’s assistant. Mrs. Kanye West even appeared on Paris’s show, The Simple Life (with Nicole Richie — remember her in overalls?!), doing small tasks for the hotel heiress such as caring for her Chihuahua and reorganizing her closet. It’s hard to imagine Kim doing that for Paris now.

Things began to sour sometime in the mid-2000s, when Paris described Kim’s butt as “cottage cheese inside a big trash bag” during a radio interview. Kim was not too happy about that, and she went on Howard Stern’s show to throw her own shade. “I haven’t talked to her in a few years,” Kim said of her former bestie and boss. “It was just one time we didn’t speak again. I did speak to her once when she went on a radio station and said that my ass looks like cellulite in a trash bag or something. She did call me to apologize.”

Paris also made the rounds, posing for pics with other Kardashian sisters as well as Caitlyn Jenner during the fete. “Holidays with the baes @KylieJenner & @NickyHilton,” she captioned a pic of herself with Kylie Jenner and her own sister, new mom Nicky Hilton.

Paris and Nicky also caught up with Khloé Kardashian, who, like Kim, opted for gold sparkle for her ensemble.

“#GoodTimes celebrating Christmas with these beauties @KhloeKardashian & @NickyHilton,” Paris wrote. Paris also made sure to get a snap with the ultimate VIP that night.

Santa looked a little wary of Paris — but better him than Kim.
