Leslie Jones’s Website Hacked, Personal Info and Photos Leaked
Leslie Jones is the latest celebrity to be targeted by online hackers.
The Ghostbusters star, 48, had her website hacked, its original content replaced with personal information — like her driver’s license and passport — and what appear to be explicit photos.
The perpetrators then inserted a picture of the gorilla Harambe (who was killed in an Ohio zoo earlier this year) on her site, which originally was a forum for fans to check out the comedian’s work. According to TMZ, her website was immediately taken down.
Yahoo Celebrity has reached out to Jones’s rep for comment, but has yet to hear back.
Unfortunately, this is not Jones’s first brush with racist trolls. Last month, the Saturday Night Live star shed light on the demeaning, sexist and straight up nasty things that constantly plagued her Twitter feed.
“I leave Twitter tonight with tears and a very sad heart,” she wrote after retweeting tons of vicious comments she had received online. “All this ’cause I did a movie. You can hate the movie, but the s*** I got today… wrong.”
Jones took a two-day Twitter hiatus, but eventually came back. And it’s a good thing she did! NBC invited her to the Rio Olympics after she started hilariously live-tweeting about the Summer Games.
“You guys I’m gonna show y’all everything lmao!! Good and bad!! Hopefully it’s all good!! SO EXCITED!! USA!USA!” she wrote following the announcement.
Here’s hoping there’s a happy ending to the latest attack, too.
