"Over the last six years, Ozzy Osbourne has been dealing with a sex addiction," a rep for the Black Sabbath singer tells PEOPLE exclusively.
In May, Sharon, 63, and Ozzy, 67, announced they were splitting after Ozzy's four-year-long affair with his former hair colorist, Michelle Pugh, was revealed. Earlier this month, however, the longtime spouses said they were fighting for their marriage of 33 years, and Ozzy told Good Morning Americathings were "back on track".

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE, Pugh scoffs at the idea Ozzy is a sex addict and notes they knew each other for a year professionally before he made the first move on her.
Detailing her time with Ozzy, Pugh says their relationship "felt like an old-fashioned romance. Being courted. I loved it," she says. "When I say he gave me the greatest love of my life, I mean it."

Pugh also claims her relationship with Ozzy was "private" and "never with 'Ozzy the rock god.' My relationship was with this really nice, sweet, funny and cool guy ... John from England," she says. "He made it clear to me and asked me not to see anyone else. We had a very real relationship."
However, Ozzy denies the relationship was anything more than a physical one.
"He is sorry if Ms. Pugh took their sexual relationship out of context," continues the statement. "He would like to apologize to the other women he has been having sexual relationships with. Out of the bad comes good. Since his relationship with Ms. Pugh was exposed, Ozzy has gone into intense therapy."
Continues the statement: "Ozzy is mortified at what his behavior has done to his family. He thanks God that his incredible wife Sharon is at his side to support him."
