11 can't-miss concerts in Nashville this July: Ben Platt, Alabama, Def Leppard and Journey
As the summer heat settles over Nashville in July, the live music scene gets even hotter. With everything from '80s rockers Def Leppard and Journey to a massive Toby Keith tribute, there's something for everyone this month.
We took a look at the shows coming to Nashville in July and have compiled our top 11 shows — because we couldn't contain it to just 10. So whatever you do in July, make time to either get out under the stars at one of the amphitheaters or join thousands of music lovers at Bridgestone Arena.
July 6-7: Ben Platt
Ben Platt will be performing at the Ryman Auditorium for two nights on July 6 and 7.
The actor and singer-songwriter, best known for his Broadway role in "Dear Evan Hansen," released the album "Honeymind" on May 31.
Now, he's out on the "Honeymind" tour, performing all across North America.

July 12: Styx and Foreigner with John Waite
On July 12, Styx and Foreigner will perform with John Waite at Ascend Amphitheater.
The acts are headed to Nashville on their "Renegades and Juke Box Heroes Tour," where the two rock bands and the British rock singer will perform their hits.

July 13: Lake Street Dive
Lake Street Dive will hit the stage at Ascend Amphitheater on July 13.
The "free country band" and multi-genre group, known for songs "Better Than," "Good Kisser" and "Hypotheticals," released album "Obviously" in 2021 and some singles in 2024.
Their new album, "Good Together," was released on June 21.

July 16-17: New Kids on the Block
Boyband New Kids on the Block will perform at FirstBank Amphitheater on July 16 and 17 as part of their "Magic Summer Tour 2024."
The band, consisting of Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood, released their latest album "Still Kids" on May 17.

July 19: Alabama
Country band Alabama will be hitting the stage at Bridgestone Arena on July 19.
The band, now consisting of Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry, are best known for tunes "Song of the South" and "Dixieland Delight." Previous band member Jeff Cook died in 2022 due to Parkinson's Disease.
The band is now headed out on the road for their 2024 summer tour around America.

July 20: Def Leppard and Journey
Rock bands Def Leppard and Journey will hit the stage for a co-headlining show at Nissan Stadium on July 20.
The two bands, accompanied by Steve Miller Band, will perform in Nashville as part of their summer stadium tour.
Def Leppard released album "Drastic Symphonies" with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in 2023; Journey released album "Freedom" in 2022.

July 23: Lucky Daye
New Orleans-born singer/songwriter Lucky Daye brings his first ever headlining tour to the Ryman on July 23.
With opening act Fana Hues, Daye's show promises to be a high-energy show ranging from his breakout hit "Roll Some Mo" to new music from his newly released album "Algorithm."

July 26-27: Charley Crockett
On the heels of his 2022 sellout at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, Charlie Crockett released "Live from the Ryman," which documented that successful show. Now he's back, with two shows on July 26 and 27 with opening acts Kashus Culpepper (7/26) & Vincent Neil Emerson (7/27).
The Texas native puts on a show that is like no other fusing Texas country, blues and American roots music with his soulful voice and powerful delivery.

July 27: Hootie & the Blowfish
Rocker-turned-country singer Darius Rucker is going back to his roots to rejoin pop rock band Hootie & the Blowfish for a summer tour that stops at Bridgestone Arena on July 27.
The iconic '90s South Carolina band, known for songs "Only Wanna Be With You," "Let Her Cry" and "Hold My Hand," has embarked on the "Summer Camp With Trucks Tour."
The Bridgestone stop will also feature Collective Soul and Edwin McCain.

July 29: Donny Osmond
Can't get to Vegas to see crooner Donny Osmond? Not to worry. He's bringing that show to The Ryman on July 29.
His "Soundtrack Of My Life" album (his 60th!) and summer tour collide to bring fans of the singer, songwriter, performer, actor and "Dancing with the Stars" champ a glimpse back through his illustrious career.

July 29: Toby Keith Tribute
Fans of Toby Keith won't want to miss this show to honor him, his career and the impact he made on the country music industry. Beyond being a fan of Keith, this promises to be a jam-packed show full of incredible performances from Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Ashley McBryde, Parker McCollum, Jelly Roll, Darius Rucker, Lainey Wilson, The War and Treaty, Carrie Underwood and more.
The show is a benefit, with proceeds going to Toby Keith OK Kids Korral and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
The event, “Toby Keith: American Icon," will air on NBC Wed., Aug. 28, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. CT.
