13 concerts to see in Nashville this August: Vince Gill, Tate McRae, Green Day, Slash
Nashville's live music lineup for August doesn't show any signs of cooling off.
There's a little something for everyone this month, whether its Vince Gill's residency at the Ryman, two nights of Chris Stapleton at Bridgestone or Green Day at Geodis Park.
We looked at all the area venues in and around Nashville and compiled our top 13 must-see shows during August.
Aug. 1-4: Vince Gill
Gill will be performing at the Ryman Auditorium for his residency from Aug. 1-4.
The country singer-songwriter, known for songs "Don’t Let Our Love Start Slippin’ Away" and "Go Rest High on That Mountain," is releasing album "Sweet Memories: The Music of Ray Price and the Cherokee Cowboys," with Paul Franklin in August.

Aug. 2: Boyz II Men
Vocal harmony group Boyz II Men will perform at Ascend Amphitheater on Aug. 2.
The group, now comprised of baritone Nathan Morris and tenors Wanyá Morris and Shawn Stockman, released their most recent album, "Under the Streetlight," in 2017.

Aug. 6: Tate McRae
Popstar Tate McRae will perform at Ascend Amphitheater on Aug. 6.
Best known for her songs "Greedy," "Exes" and "You Broke Me First," the singer and dancer will stop in Nashville on her "Think Later" world tour. The viral pop singer released album "Think Later" last December.

Aug. 7: $uicideboy$
$uicideboy$ will be performing at Bridgestone Arena on Aug. 7 as part of their "Grey Day" 2024 tour.
The hip-hop duo, which was formed in 2014 by cousins Scrim and Ruby da Cherry, are known for songs "...And to Those I Love, Thanks for Sticking Around" and "Antarctica." They released three singles in 2024, including "Us vs. Them."

Aug. 9-10: Chris Stapleton
Stapleton will perform for two nights at Bridgestone Arena on Aug. 9 and 10.
The country singer will hit the stage as part of his All American Roadshow tour with Marty Stuart and Nikki Lane. The "Tennessee Whiskey" singer released album "Higher" in 2023 and a song with Dua Lipa in May.

Aug. 14: Slash with Larkin Poe, ZZ Ward and Robert Randolph
Guitarist Slash will hit the stage with duo Larkin Poe, ZZ Ward and Robert Randolph at FirstBank Amphitheater on Aug. 14.
Slash's "S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival," a celebration of blues music, is headed to cities across the U.S. The acronym stands for "Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance."
Slash released album "Orgy of the Damned" on May 17 with an impressive list of star-studded features on his tracks, including Demi Lovato, Chris Robinson and Iggy Pop.

Aug. 16-17: Deep Tropics festival, Sofi Tukker, RL Grime
The Deep Tropics Music, Arts and Style Festival will be returning to Nashville on Aug. 16 and 17 for the sixth time.
The dance music festival will take place in Bicentennial Park and feature a diverse lineup of DJs and musicians, including Kaskade, Cassian, Sofi Tukker, Elderbrook, RL Grime, Peekaboo and many more.
The festival focuses heavily on sustainability and will also feature talks on regenerative agriculture and sustainable fashion.
For those more interested in wellness practices than EDM music, there will also be yoga, meditation and sound healing workshops.

Aug. 20: Earth, Wind and Fire and Chicago
Bands Earth, Wind and Fire and Chicago are headed to Bridgestone Arena on Aug. 20.
The genre-bending band Earth, Wind and Fire, best known for song "September," will be co-headlining with Chicago, the "25 or 6 to 4" jazzy rock band.

Aug. 20: Wallows
Alternative rock band Wallows is headed to Ascend Amphitheater on Aug. 20 with opener Benee.
The Los Angeles band, comprised of Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters and Cole Preston, is known for tunes "Are You Bored Yet?" with Clairo, "Pleaser" and "Remember When."
They released their latest album "Model" in May, with their new hit "Calling After Me." To see one of the biggest rising band in the rock scene, Wallows' Nashville show is not one to miss.

Aug. 27: Glass Animals
Alternative rock band Glass Animals will hit the stage at Bridgestone Arena on Aug. 27 as part of their Tour of Earth.
Known for songs "Heat Waves," "Gooey" and "Pork Soda," the psychedelic pop band's new album will be out on July 19.

Aug. 28: Sammy Hagar
Singer-songwriter and guitarist Sammy Hagar is headed to Bridgestone Arena on Aug. 28.
The former Van Halen band member will be stopping in Nashville on his The Best of All Worlds tour, hitting the stage with Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani and Jason Bonham.

Aug. 30: Green Day
Rock band Green Day will be hitting the stage at Geodis Park on Aug. 30.
The alternative rockers will perform alongside the Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and the Linda Lindas on their "The Saviors" Tour.
The band, best known for "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," released their 14th album "Saviors" in January.

Aug. 31: King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
Australian rock band King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard is headed to Ascend Amphitheater on Aug. 31.
Known for songs "Work This Time," "Sense" and "Kepler-22b," the band released album "The Silver Cord" in 2023. They will be accompanied by Geese at their Nashville show.
