1300 have announced a new mixtape entitled George, which will serve as the follow-up to their 2022 debut Foreign Language. Ahead of its April release, the Korean-Australian hip-hop collective have shared a new single entitled ‘Ape Shit’ that features South Korean rapper Sokodomo. In a one-sentence press statement, 1300 succinctly wrote about the song: “Play this song loud and go Ape Shit, don’t overthink it.”

The group have also shared an accompanying music video for the song, directed by Oddeen. It depicts 1300 and Sokodomo rapping the song directly to camera while walking down city streets. The video can be viewed below.

Since the release of Foreign Language in 2022, 1300 have released a new Valentine’s Day EP entitled <3 and several stand-alone singles. These have included the Sollyy collaboration ‘CARDIO!’, the Kwame-assisted ‘Steve Jobs’ and last October’s ‘Lalaland’. The group also collaborated with producer Young Franco, remixing his track with Theopolis London ‘Got Your Money’.

George is set for release on Thursday April 4 via Eastern Margins.
