Brings Plenty, 27, was found dead in April 2024 in a wooded area in Kansas. He had gone missing after an alleged domestic violence incident, in which he was a suspect, earlier that month.
Cole’s father Joe confirmed the news in a statement shared by Cole’s uncle and Yellowstone star Mo Brings Plenty on Instagram: “I am deeply saddened to confirm that my son, Cole, has been found and is no longer with us. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for the prayers and positive thoughts you sent for Cole. We would also like to thank everyone who came to walk beside us as we searched for my son and provided the resources we needed to expand our search areas. I learned this week how many people knew the goodness in Cole’s heart and loved him. During this incredibly difficult time, we ask for privacy as we process our grief and figure out how we move forward. Please know we appreciate you and appreciate your understanding.”
Court documents related to the investigation, including those that revealed Brings Plenty’s cause of death, were sealed by a Johnson County, Kansas, judge at the request of Brings Plenty’s family, The Kansas City Star reports.
1923 recast the role of Pete. He’s now played by Jeremy Guana (American Primeval, 1883), and he makes his debut in Sunday’s premiere (read recap).
