When are the 2024 VMAs?
The VMAs will be held at Long Island's UBS Arena on Sept. 11, marking a return to New York after recent years at the Prudential Center in New Jersey. The show will kick off at 8 p.m. EST and will feature a star-studded lineup of presenters and performers.
Who will be performing at the VMAs?
MTV announced a diverse group of celebrities set to present awards, including rappers Big Sean and Busta Rhymes, veteran TV host Carson Daly, pop icon Cyndi Lauper, and TikTok influencer Addison Rae. Joining them will be Amelia Dimoldenberg, host of "Chicken Shop Date," and Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio.
The presenter roster also includes musicians like Damiano David of M?neskin, DJ Khaled, Lil Nas X, and country singer Miranda Lambert. Other presenters include Fat Joe, Flavor Flav, French Montana, and actress Halle Bailey from "The Little Mermaid." Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles, socialite Paris Hilton, actress Suki Waterhouse, and pop stars Thalía and Tinashe will also take the stage.
According to People, on the performance front, newcomers Jessie Murph and Teddy Swims are set to perform on the Extended Play Stage. Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM will deliver a special pre-show performance, hosted by Nessa, Dometi Pongo, and Kevan Kenney.
Who are the nominees at the 2024 VMAs?
Taylor Swift leads the nominations with 12 nods, potentially poised to make history by surpassing Beyoncé's record of 25 solo VMA wins, or 29 including collaborations.
Other solo artist nominees include Beyoncé, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Megan Thee Stallion, Camila Cabello, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Benson Boone, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, Hozier, and SZA.
