32 new 'Avengers: Endgame' character posters confirm 'Infinity War' survivors: Fan favorites Valkyrie and Shuri's fates revealed
With one month to go until Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios has just reminded fans what — and who — is at stake in the final chapter of this version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A new series of character posters revealed that fan favorites Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Wong (Benedict Wong) and Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) survived Thanos’s Snapture, and are still in the fight… for now. Thompson’s status in particular caused a stir, since it means that ‘shippers may soon get to their wish to see Valkyrie and Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel meet cute. Unfortunately, there was also some tragic news to report. Disney princess, Shuri (Letitia Wright), officially joined her brother, T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), among the dusted, which means Wakanda must be experiencing its own game of thrones.
Interestingly, Loki is also included among the dusted heroes, even though his death occurred before Thanos snapped his fingers. Could that mean the Trickster has fooled us again? That’s the way fans are interpreting his presence, theorizing that Loki may find fresh ways to annoy his brother. In fact, one theory making the rounds is that Tom Hiddleston may be hiding in plain sight as Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk-less Bruce Banner.
interestingly loki died before the snap……. unlike the others… but his poster is still here… THIS MEANS SOMETHING https://t.co/SdLgBp2HVc

Although these Endgame posters covered just about all the major players, there were some notable absences that Twitter couldn’t help commenting on. Chief among them is Nick Fury’s right-hand woman, Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), who turned to ash alongside her pager-wielding boss, but didn’t get the poster treatment. (We’ll have to wait and see if the social media pressure results in Marvel changing course, as they previously did with Danai Gurira.)
y’all got happy a poster and left my girl maria hill without one? in this economy?

But Maria’s not the only one left out in the cold. Even being in the No. 1 movie in America wasn’t enough to nab Us star Winston Duke his own poster as M’Baku. And while their daughter, Hope (Evangeline Lily), is memorialized amongst the dusted, the original Ant-Man and the Wasp, Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne (Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer) must have gone sub-atomic, because they are nowhere to be found.
In a new featurette that accompanied the posters, the surviving Avengers mourned their last comrades. “We lost, and we’re not used to losing,” says Evans. “The good thing is, it’s always easier to build people back up after they’ve been broken down.” Yeah, but have you ever tried to build something up again from ashes, Cap? It takes a heck of a lot of glue.
Avengers: Endgame opens in theaters on April 26. Purchase advance tickets on Fandango.
