'NCIS: New Orleans' Sneak Peek: See How Hurricane Katrina Brought Pride and Lasalle Together

It’s hard to believe that 2015 marks 10 years since the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, but NCIS: New Orleans has found a unique way to mark the anniversary of one the deadliest tropical storms in U.S. history. On Tuesday, the CBS police procedural will air a present day episode mixed with pre and post-Katrina footage.

Yahoo TV has an exclusive first look at the upcoming NCIS: NOLA episode “Billy and the Kid,” which features a throwback storyline about a murder case that NOPD deputy sheriff Christopher Lasalle (Lucas Black) worked on right before Katrina — but never solved because the historic storm washed away most of the evidence. Except the victim’s car, that is, which NCIS Special Agent Dwayne “King” Pride (Scott Bakula) is combing through during the Katrina cleanup as part of a separate theft investigation.

This exclusive clip features the first meeting (or so Lasalle thinks) of the two agents, but they definitely don’t start out on the right foot. Lasalle makes it clear that the only “kings” he listens to are “God Almighty and Elvis,” but he soon finds that Pride might have some evidence he needs. Looks like a beautiful partnership in the making as two cases collide.

NCIS: New Orleans airs Tuesday, Nov. 24 at at 9 p.m. on CBS.
