120+ TV Shows Have Ended This Year — Which Will You Miss Most?
If there’s one thing 2023 has taught us, it’s not to get too emotionally attached to any TV shows. (We still did that. But it’s not advised!)
More from TVLine
With another year now behind us, TVLine is taking stock of all the series — at least 123! — that have permanently left our screens in the past 12 months, whether they were unceremoniously cancelled or announced final seasons well in advance.
It was another tough year for fans of Netflix shows, as the streamer said goodbye to no fewer than 16 series this year, including the beloved fantasy adaptation Shadow and Bone. But whether you invested your TV-watching time in broadcast, cable or streaming most, chances are you lost a favorite or two in this especially brutal year. (Speaking of brutal: Check out how many shows left us in the month of May alone.)
NOTE: Our chronologically ordered list does not include a) shows that were cancelled this year but aired their final episodes in 2022 or earlier (Peacock’s Vampire Academy, for example), or b) shows that announced a final season this year but won’t wrap up until 2024 or later (like ABC’s Station 19 or CBS’ Blue Bloods).
Scroll through the list below to reflect on this year’s many swan songs, then hit the comments with the show(s) you’ll miss most.
