4th annual Bill Withers Music Festival will offer a lovely day for folks at Beckley Intermodal Gateway
BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) – Saturday, July 5, 2024, will be a lovely day at Beckley Intermodal Gateway.
New Bill Withers Music Festival aims to inspire future WV artists
Beckley Events will be hosting the 4th annual Bill Withers Music Festival from noon to 5p.m.
This festival was organized to honor Beckley native Bill Withers and his musical legacy.
Some of the artists that will be performing at the festival include Lady D and Mi$$ion, Jim Snyder, and Aristotle Jones, among many other artists.
Director of Beckley Events, Jill Moorefield told 59News a little bit about other special events that will be going on at this festival.
“Reverend Hightower may be here as well. He’s the sculptor, of the [Bill Withers] statue coming this fall here at the plaza. [We want to] honor him and try to share with kids, ‘follow your dreams, you could be famous one day.’”
Organizers will be recognizing the Lovely Day Youth Contest winners at this event which is named after the famous Bill Withers song.

There will also be food trucks, vendors, and other fun activities for everyone to check out.
