50 Cent Teases Irv Gotti Following Stroke Reveal
50 Cent took to social media to mock Irv Gotti after it was confirmed that the Murder, Inc. boss suffered a stroke earlier this year.
On Wednesday (Aug 28), the G-Unit Films and Television Inc. founder shared a screenshot of his longtime foe walking with the assistance of a cane and used his own song lyrics from “Wanksta” to take jabs at Gotti.
“Da*n homie, in high school you was the man homie, WTF happened to you?” wrote the 49-year-old on Instagram.
“I want Irv to get well, [raised eyebrow emoji] so he can have to watch my next wave [water wave emoji] LOL.” In true 50 Cent fashion, the caption was closed with tags of his brands Branson Cognac and Le Chemin du Roi.
The image shared by the “Many Men” rapper began circulating after Wack 100 revealed he saw Irv Gotti outside of a health rehab facility while speaking on a podcast earlier this week. A rep for the label co-founder confirmed the health diagnosis, with a positive outlook.
“Irv has been struggling with diabetes for years, which caused him to have a minor stroke over six months ago,” detailed a statement. “He has since changed his diet to eating more healthy. He’s been successful in making a full recovery. Irv is not in a rehab facility. He is at home with his family, enjoying life.”
The 54-year-old himself clarified to The Shade Room, “I’m getting older. That’s all,” adding, “Only thing worse than getting old is not getting old.” His rep confirmed to the outlet that Gotti is currently focused on his upcoming biopic about DMX, and that his sons were upset about Wack 100 revealing his medical condition.
Last year, Irv Gotti opened up about having diabetes on Drink Champs with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN.
“[Diabetes] runs rampant among Black people. What it does is, it starts deteriorating your body.” he said before admitting that he only takes his insulin “only time to time.”
