50 Cent Teases Project With Idris Elba: “TV Will Never Be The Same”
50 Cent is teasing a new addition to his growing slate of TV shows, and his next one may star Idris Elba. Fif took to Instagram on Monday (Sept. 16) to give fans a tiny teaser, uploading a picture of himself and Elba.
“I’m working we got some heat coming your way,” the caption reads. “Your [TV] will never be the same.” No more information was revealed regarding the show’s direction, cast, or release date. 50 Cent and Idris Elba have never worked with each other on any television series or movie before, so the unnamed project will be the first.
The news arrives as Fif has been ramping up his Shreveport G-Unit Studios location. He spoke about the opening of the studio back in April with Billboard. During his interview with the outlet, Curtis Jackson stated that he had big plans for the new studio, plans that involve uplifting the residents of the 318.
“As someone who has always believed in the transformative power of music, film, and television, I’m beyond excited to introduce the expansion of my G-Unit Film & Television through the launch of G-Unit Studios right here in Shreveport. From the gritty narratives of the streets to the compelling stories that define our era, G-Unit has always been more than just entertainment; it’s a platform for voices that need to be heard, stories that need to be told,” he said.
“Bringing G-Unit Studios to Shreveport is not just a business decision; it’s a commitment to fostering talent, creating opportunities, and building a community that thrives through creativity and innovation. We see Shreveport as a beacon of inspiration and creativity.”
Shreveport’s Mayor, Tom Arceneaux, also spoke about the milestone for the city and the mogul. Arceneaux detailed how G-Unit Studios will boost the local economy with job opportunities. He stated that the institute would usher in the next generation of creatives.
“This city’s rich culture and talent provide the perfect backdrop for this endeavor. We are eager to collaborate with Mr. Jackson and G-Unit Film & Television to bring captivating movies and entertainment to Shreveport and Caddo Parish.”
