1. Gilmore Girls (2000-2007)

You might recognize the laughable quote, “Oy, with the poodles already,” from the fast-talking, coffee addicted Lorelai Gilmore. This fun-loving, mother-daughter series is one of the quintessential watches of this era of television and perfect to binge for the upcoming fall season.

If you’re looking for a juicy teen drama that has love triangles, heartbreak and the perfect 2000s fashion, look no further. One Tree Hill has all of that and more. Estranged brothers, Lucas (portrayed by Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan (portrayed by James Lafferty), must learn to get along when Lucas joins Nathan’s varsity basketball team.

This stirs up a lot of drama between the brothers, especially when Lucas falls for Nathan’s girlfriend and Nathan falls for his brother’s best friend. Add in a few mean girls and feuding families and you have one of the most bingeable TV dramas of the early 2000s!

Want a thrilling teen drama but in sunny California? Check out The O.C.! This series follows troubled teen, Ryan Atwood (portrayed by Ben McKenzie), who is taken in by a wealthy lawyer and his family after he’s kicked out of his house.

Ryan meets their eccentric son, Seth (portrayed by Adam Brody), and the girl-next-door, Marissa Cooper (portrayed by Mischa Barton), who turns his world upside down. Stuck in the middle of pretentious Orange County families and snobby high schoolers, Ryan must learn to adjust to his new life.

You should check out this medical drama, stat! Grey’s Anatomy, which has been on the air for nearly 20 years, follows surgical intern Meredith Grey (portrayed by Ellen Pompeo) and her new co-workers, as they navigate working in the cutthroat field of medicine.

 5. Wildfire (2005-2008) 

Wildfire might seem like every other drama series you’ve enjoyed, but this one takes place on a horse ranch in California and involves an addictive, back and forth love triangle (shocking). Kris Furillo (portrayed by Genevieve Padalecki) is released from jail and offered a job to work on a horse ranch, where she meets the Ritter family. Kris eventually proves herself as a jockey, racing the horse, Wildfire, while also trying to balance feelings for the son of a competing horse ranch.

“Clear eyes, full heart, can’t lose!” is one of the most quotable lines from a drama series. In the competitive world of Texas high school football, Friday Night Lights follows the new Coach Taylor (portrayed by Kyle Chandler), who is tasked with bringing his town a state championship.

Having moved to the 90210 from Kansas, these siblings are in for a major culture shock.
