BROWNWOOD — The Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association and the Brown County Sheriff's Office will present "The County Sheriff: America's Last Hope" from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Adam Street Community Center, 511 E. Fur Ball

Rescue the Animals SPCA will conduct its annual Fur Ball dinner and dance for people and their dogs from 5-9 p.m. at the Abilene Convention Center, 1100 N. Sixth St. This year's theme is "Bow Wow Luau," and will feature a dinner catered by Tom and Lisa Perini, a doggie buffet from Pam's Pets and music by Abilene Community Band. The Abilene Chamber of Commerce and the Taylor County AgriLife Extension Service will present the annual Texas Farm Ranch and Wildlife Expo from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 22 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Taylor County Expo Center, 1700 Highway 36.
