Action film starring Dolph Lundgren wraps up filming in Ruidoso

Jun. 7—A feature film shooting in New Mexico and starring Dolph Lundgren has wrapped up filming in Ruidoso.

Fight or Flight tells the story of Sam Hayden, whose record as an assassin is "perfect," the New Mexico Film Office said in a news release Friday. The film focuses on his assignment to take out his "legendary ruthless predecessor," Charles Managold — played by Lundgren — but he finds himself unable to do so. But Hayden is being targeted by an assassin, too, which pairs Hayden and Managold up "to fight back and stay alive," according to the film office.

"After the success of both The Best Man and The Christmas Classic, I could not wait to get back to Ruidoso to work with the community to make another great film," Shane Dax Taylor, the director of the film, said in a statement.

According to the film office, the production employed over 100 locals — about 50 background actors, 50 crew members and three principal actors.

Fight or Flight also stars Michael Jai White, Scott Martin and Charlotte Kirk.
