One more day, one more absence! Kelly Ripa has been missing from LIVE With Kelly and Mark for a little over a week, and the daytime talk show host was still absent on Monday, August 12, with Maria Menounos, who’d previously appeared in her absence last Thursday sharing hosting duties alongside Mark Consuelos. But where’s Kelly Ripa and why is she missing from LIVE With Kelly and Mark?

Where’s LIVE With Kelly and Mark’s Kelly Ripa?
The reason for Ripa’s absence has not yet been announced, but we know where Ripa was on Sunday, August 11th. Indeed, Ripa was at a Disneyland ceremony honoring her and other Disney Legends. Her husband, Mark Consuelos, was also present at the ceremony. He, however, returned to New York in time for the show. Ripa did not. So where is Ripa? Well, Decider is reporting she is on her “annual summer vacation.”
Even without Ripa, the show must go on, and it did, with Andra Day promoting The Deliverance and Meaghan Murphy sharing back-to-school ideas. Tuesday, August 13th’s show is set to feature Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hannah Waddingham, and Tweet Boogie.
Among the guest stars who filled in for Ripa last week were Deja Vu, Jane Krakowski, and Jenny Mollen.
The D23 Disney Legends Awards Ceremony took place at the Honda Center in California and also honored Angela Bassett, Colleen Atwood, Harrison Ford, James Cameron, James L. Brooks, Jamie Lee Curtis, Joe Rohde, John Williams, Mark Henn, Marthan Blanding, Miley Cyrus, and Steve Ditko.
Ripa got her start on the daytime soap opera All My Children, playing Hayley Vaughan from 1990 to 2002. The show is also how she met her husband and LIVE co-host Mark Consuelos, who played her character’s love interest, Mateo Santos, from 1995 to 2002. Both Ripa and Consuelos also reprised their characters in 2010 for the show’s 40th anniversary. Ripa and Consuelos got married in 1996 and have three children together: Michael, Lola, and Joaquin.
The actress joined LIVE in 2001 when she replaced Kathie Lee Gifford. Ripa’s previous co-hosts include Regis Philbin, Michael Strahan, and Ryan Seacrest. Her husband joined her on the show as Seacrest’s replacement in April 2023.
