Adele Says She Felt 'Terrible' About Performing With This A-Lister in Her Audience
Even superstars like Adele get stage fright from time to time and the singer revealed she almost let her nerves get the best of her while performing in front of another A-list singer. The British star, 35, has been wowing crowds during her Las Vegas residency and there have been plenty of stars in her audience. But there was one person in the crowd that stressed Adele out more than any others.
“There’s been one there that I shat myself the whole show,” Adele told The Hollywood Reporter in a December 7 interview before revealing that the person in question was Lady Gaga. “I’ve spent a bit of time with her, but I rate her so hard. I was like, ‘The show’s terrible. It’s rubbish. I’m singing terribly. I’m not funny. My dress is rubbish this week.’ I was judging myself. And she’s not like that. But she made me really, really nervous.”

Of course, performing in front of a Grammy-winning superstar like Lady Gaga would make anyone nervous but we’re betting that if anyone could do it, it would be Adele — who, of course, is also a Grammy-winning superstar!
“I don’t get told who’s coming. I only knew Gaga was coming. She came in disguise. Well, not in disguise, she just wasn’t dressed up. It’s like me, I’ve put sweatpants on [today]. But yeah, as long as people come and they enjoy it, that’s all that matters, really,” Adele continued.
She also revealed that she didn’t recognize Shania Twain when she came to check out a show. “Because she had a hat on, I walked straight past her and didn’t recognize her until afterwards someone sent me a video. Then I saw her at the Grammys and we were talking about it. I’ve had lots of amazing people there,” the singer added.
However, there is still one person who Adele wants to see at her show more than anyone else. “The only person I want to see it that hasn’t yet is my mum. I’m going to wait — I want her to see it at the end. Because I think she’ll find it really emotional as well,” she gushed.
