Adele Can’t Thank Munich Fans Enough After Wrapping 10-Show Residency: ‘I Had the Time of My Life’
Adele had three hyped-up words of wonder as the completed her 10-night run at a custom-built stadium in Munich, Germany: “Wow! Wow! Wow!” That’s how the singer began a loving note to the city for embracing her during a two-week run of gigs at the 80,000-capacity open air outdoor arena, Messe München, after completing her final gig on Saturday (August 31).
“Munich you were incredible! What a phenomenal experience. I am truly touched by the genuine outpouring of love and good will felt from every single person who came to every single show,” she continued. “It was the best vibes all around. I’ve never seen anything like these shows it was truly spectacular, and I am beyond honored to have been asked to do them.”

The 36-year-old singer recently revealed that she’s planning to take a good, long break after her Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace picks up again on Oct. 25 for a final run of 10 shows; the final concert in the run will take place on Nov. 23.
“I hope those of you who came had the best time at ‘Adele World.’ I had the time of my life adding all the personal and immersive touches to it,” Adele added in her note of the shows that played to more than 730,000 fans in the largest temporary arena ever built. “I’m overwhelmingly proud of my entire team and teammates. Thank you as always for making me look so f–king good. There truly is no feeling like standing in front of people you’ve never met, belting out a bunch of songs that changed your life that in ways somehow changed theirs too. It’s truly remarkable and an extraordinary story to be able to tell.”
The post was accompanied by a 80-second video compilation featuring some spectacular shots of the performances, fans interacting with Adele on stage and having the times of their lives set to “When We Were Young.” The emotional clip ends with Adele saying, “I will remember these shows for eternity and I will really, really hold them in the bottom of my heart forever.”
