AEW WrestleDream: Eddie Kingston vs. Katsuyori Shibata Result

Eddie Kingston retained the gold at AEW WrestleDream.

At AEW WrestleDream, Eddie Kingston defended the ROH World Championship and the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship against Katsuyori Shibata. At a show that honored Antonio Inoki, the two stars showed plenty of fighting spirit. They threw everything they had at each other in a hard-hitting contest. Shibata utilized plenty of submissions, while Kingston countered with a barrage of strikes.

In the end, it took multiple backfists and an emphatic powerbomb for Kingston to score the hard-fought win.

Shibata’s ROH Pure Championship was on the line in the bout.
