‘Agatha All Along’ Trailer Drops New Spooky Song and Murderous Coven of Evil Witches
The cast of the Marvel series “Agatha All Along” unveiled the second trailer for the “WandaVision” sequel at the D23 Expo on Friday, as well as a special live performance of the original song that drives the show, “The Ballad of the Witches Road.”
Star Kathryn Hahn — who is reprising her performance as the hilarious, hex-loving sorceress Agatha Harkness from “WandaVision” — was joined on stage at the Honda Center in Anaheim by costars Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn and Debra Jo Rupp to perform the ballad, written by the Emmy- and Oscar-winning team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who also appeared on stage. The song’s title refers to the mystical thoroughfare that the show’s logline for the show describes as “a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing.”

In “WandaVision,” Hahn is first introduced as Agnes, Wanda and Vision’s “nosy neighbor” in Westview, a community trapped inside an ever-evolving television show. Eventually, she reveals her true identity as Agatha, a powerful witch who has lived for centuries due to her magical abilities. After an epic fight in the “WandaVision” finale between Agatha and Wanda, the superhero takes all of Agatha’s powers and traps her inside Westview within her false persona of Agnes. In “Agatha All Along,” Locke’s character, known only as Teen, breaks Agatha out of Wanda’s spell, and then Agatha gathers a coven to walk the Witches Road in order to recover her magical abilities.
Jac Schaeffer, head writer of “WandaVision,” serves as executive producer and showrunner for “Agatha All Along,” which premieres with its first two episodes on Disney+ on Sept. 18.
