Al Roker Celebrates Special Milestone for Baby Granddaughter Sky

Al Roker is one proud pop-pop!

The 69-year-old Today show anchor was happy to share with his followers the newest milestone reached by his precious granddaughter, Sky, as the little one was videotaped while learning how to crawl.

In the sweet home video shared to Instagram on Tuesday, July 9, Roker proudly updated his followers on Sky's growing progress, proving that the adorable child is moving right along—literally!

Dressed in a bright yellow and white onesie, Sky needed no help as she crawled around the hardwood floors, sweetly looking up to the camera at one point to flash a giant smile.

"Well, look who started the #armycrawl just after her #firstbirthday," Roker wrote in his caption. He set the video to "Baby's Gonna Crawl" by The Mudcakes—a perfectly fitting song for the occasion.

"Adorable!! ??" the Instagram account for the Today show wrote in the comments, while one of Roker's followers chimed in, "Oh boy!! There will be no stopping her now!"

"Mr. Roker! That lil girl has your heart ?? wrapped around her fingers. Love it??" someone else gushed.

Sky, Roker's first grandchild, was born to his daughter Courtney Roker Laga and her husband Wes in July 2023. The weather anchor has loved every day of being a "pop-pop" since then, often taking to social media to share wholesome moments of the little one, who rang in her first birthday on Wednesday, July 3.

Roker celebrated the milestone with a heartfelt Instagram post last week that featured a montage of some of his favorite memories with Sky so far.

"At 11:41am a year ago today, I got to fall in love all over again in a very special way," he wrote at the time, thanking his daughter and son-in-law for "the special gift of this special girl, Sky."
