Alana Haim Signs With UTA
EXCLUSIVE: Alana Haim has signed with UTA for representation in all areas, with a significant focus on acting, Deadline has learned.
Haim made her feature film debut to rave reviews starring as the female lead of Paul Thomas Anderson’s Academy Award-nominated romance, Licorice Pizza. The film tells the story of Alana Kane (Haim) and Gary Valentine (Cooper Hoffman) growing up, running around, and falling in love in the San Fernando Valley in 1973. United Artists Releasing released the film in the U.S. on November 26, 2021.

For her performance in Licorice Pizza, Haim received an NBR Award for Breakthrough Performance, was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Leading Actress, was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical, was nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actress, was honored with the Virtuoso Award from the Santa Barbara Film Festival, and received recognition from film critics’ groups across the country.
Since 2007, Alana and her sisters Danielle and Este have made up the Grammy-nominated band Haim. To date, the group has released three studio albums — 2013’s Days Are Gone, 2017’s Something to Tell You, and 2020’s Women in Music Pt. III — with countless EPs and singles that have topped charts around the globe. Some of the group’s best known hits include “The Wire,” “Don’t Save Me,” “Want You Back,” “If I Could Change Your Mind,” and “Forever,” to name just a few.
On numerous occasions, the band has tapped Licorice Pizza‘s Anderson as the director for their acclaimed music videos. Some of the videos he’s shot for them include “The Steps,” “Lost Track,” “Summer Girl,” and “Little of Your Love.”
