Alexa Tarantino Quartet to headline Seacoast Jazz Festival: Here's the full lineup

PORTSMOUTH — The Alexa Tarantino Quartet will be the headline act for the Prescott Park Arts Festival's 41st annual Seacoast Jazz Festival, to be held Saturday, Aug. 24 in partnership with Seacoast Jazz Society.

The annual festival features a host of local, regional, and international talent, showcasing various styles of jazz.

Festival organizers have announced the full lineup for the event:

Noon - Soggy Po Boys with Celia Woodsmith

• A lively ensemble bringing a unique blend of New Orleans jazz, blues, and original compositions, featuring the powerful vocals of Grammy-nominated Celia Woodsmith.

1:15 p.m. - Boston Blow Up featuring Donna McElroy

• This dynamic group showcases the vibrant jazz scene of Boston, with the exceptional vocal talents of Grammy-nominated Donna McElroy.

2:30 p.m. - Seacoast Jazz Band

• A staple of the local jazz community, the Seacoast Jazz Band delivers a classic jazz experience, featuring a repertoire of beloved jazz standards.

3:45 p.m. - Consuelo Candelaria, Ron Savage, Ron Mahti Trio with Special Guest Drika Overton

• This trio, led by acclaimed pianist Consuelo Candelaria, drummer Ron Savage, and bassist Ron Mahdi, offers a captivating performance with special guest tap dancer Drika Overton adding a unique rhythmic dimension.

5 p.m. - Alexa Tarantino Quartet

• Closing the festival, the Alexa Tarantino Quartet, led by the rising star saxophonist and composer Alexa Tarantino, promises an engaging and inspiring jazz performance.

The presenting sponsor of the jazz festival is Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club. The rain date is Sunday, Aug. 25.
