The actor continues to speak about his weight loss. "And I've lost 20 pounds, so now I'm like, 'Oh, I think I might look a little better when they ask me to do some of the little dances in the opening numbers.' So you know, I am ready to rock," he says.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum has not given too many details about his lifestyle changes, but has spoken in the past about how his wife Angela Unkrich shares her passion for healthy eating on Instagram.

Last October, Ribeiro revealed on the Tamron Hall Show that his family changed their diet eight years after "a health situation with one of my kids…my little dude."

He said further, "He had a health issue and we learned how to feed him."

Now, the host said, "We live a completely non-toxic life where we don’t eat any sugar, gluten-free, corn-free, dairy-free, oats-free, anything that makes you swollen, we typically stay away from."

"Obviously, with AFV coming back, this is their 35th season [and] my 10th season as the host. This is going to be special and I am excited to get back to the laughter and the fun."

On the topic of the dancing competition, he teases that "they are putting together all the names and things are getting close," noting he does not yet know who will star in the season. "I am excited to see who we've got this year. I'm sure, obviously, with an Olympic year, I'm hoping we have a few Olympians, and it should be a fantastic season," he says.

Earlier this summer, Ribeiro embarked on an intimate, eight-day River Rhine Cruise by Adventures by Disney with nine of his family members, including Angela, his youngest three children, his parents and his in-laws.

He told PEOPLE that it took some convincing to go on the voyage, but now he has nothing but positive memories. "[I] didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did. It was kind of a shock. But I really, really enjoyed it. It was really a fun time. The kids really loved it [ and] my wife loved it,” he said.
