Alfred Molina, Alfre Woodard, Geena Davis Cast in Netflix Supernatural Drama Set at Retirement Community
Alfred Molina, Alfre Woodard, Geena Davis, Bill Pullman, Denis O’Hare and Clarke Peters are all heading to The Boroughs — as in Netflix’s supernatural drama that counts Stranger Things‘ Duffer Brothers amongst its executive producers.
Ordered to series back in April 2023, The Boroughs hails from The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance creators Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews, who will serve as exec producers/showrunners, and is described as a supernatural mystery.

What exactly is the eight-episode drama about? The official logline tells us, “In a seemingly picturesque retirement community, a group of unlikely heroes must band together to stop an otherworldly threat from stealing the one thing they don’t have… time.”
Netflix also announced that Ben Taylor (Sex Education, Catastrophe) will serve as an executive producer and will direct multiple episodes, including the pilot. Hilary Leavitt is also an EP.
Molina of course is Doc Ock to you and me, but his TV credits include tons of voice work as well as Angie Tribeca and FEUD: Bette and Joan, while Woodard’s TV resume boasts Marvel’s Luke Cage, See and Desperate Housewives.
Davis has done Grey’s Anatomy, The Exorcist and filled the title role in Commander in Chief, and O’Hare is an American Horror Story staple and recently guested in Evil‘s final episodes.
Pullman has starred in The Sinner and played POTUS in the NBC sitcom 1600 Penn, while Peters’ myriad TV gigs include Treme, The Irregulars and Netflix’s recent Eric miniseries.
