Ali Wong Commands the Red Carpet in Custom Balenciaga Knife Boots at Golden Globes 2025
Ali Wong graced the red carpet at the 82nd Annual Golden Globes held tonight in Los Angeles. The stand-up comedian is nominated for “Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television” for her Netflix special “Ali Wong: Single Lady.”
The “Beef” actress opted for a high-impact pair of black Balenciaga Knife boots that offered her look oodles of edge. The custom footwear pick included jet-black stretchy spandex jersey uppers accompanied by knife-like pointed toes. It’s hard to see the style beneath the hem of her gown, however, many of Balenciaga’s knife boots are thigh or knee-high. It is also likely the eclipsed style also included stiletto heels standing at around 4.3 inches in height.

While Wong’s shoe pick is custom, fans of the comedian can shop the original Knife boot via Balenciaga’s website retailing for $2,190. Prada, Steve Madden, Nine West, Asos, Dolce & Gabbana and Christian Louboutin all feature comparable styles to Wong’s own.
Making for a brand-loyal moment, the “Always Be My Maybe” star slipped into a bright red custom Bustier gown, also from Balenciaga. The garment was crafted of sheer billowing fabric accompanied by more opaque red ribbons of material that curled and fell to the ground. A matching red bow belt was fixed to Wong’s waist while black opera gloves brought the drama.
The 82nd Golden Globe Awards is held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025. The award ceremony celebrates excellence in the television and film industries from projects produced in 2024.
Award categories include “Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language,” “Best Motion Picture – Drama,” “Cinematic and Box Office Achievement” and “Best Screenplay – Motion Picture,” among others. Notable nominees for the event include Pamela Anderson for “The Last Showgirl,” Nicole Kidman for “Babygirl,” Timothee Chalamet for “A Complete Unknown” and Denzel Washington for “Gladiator II.”
