Alicia Vikander is adorable as an 8-year-old lip sync battle champion
On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Oscar-winning actress Alicia Vikander broke it to Fallon that he did not invent lip sync battles. When she was just 8 years old, Vikander appeared on a popular Swedish kids’ show called Sm?stj?rnorna — The Little Stars in English — where she fought her way to first place.
It appears that Vikander knew her path even than. When asked what she wanted to do when she grew up, she answered, “I’m going to be an actress.” When the interviewer said, “I thought you maybe wanted to be a singer,” Vikander replied, “It’s hard to choose. It’s gonna be one or the other.”
She obviously made the right choice. And way before getting her Oscar, she was practicing her reaction. When she heard her name called at the 2016 awards ceremony, Vikander reacted almost exactly as she had when she was 8, nearly 20 years earlier.
