With ‘Alien: Romulus’ set to hit theaters soon as the seventh film of the franchise, Reebok is dropping a collaboration that brings a pair of sneakers from the big screen to real-life.
The Alien x Reebok BB 4000 II Mid comes pre-distressed to make you look like you just came out of a confrontation with xenomorphs. Smudges appear throughout the white, red and grey leather sneaker, and double-straps have been added in the style of the famous Alien Stompers, which were worn by Sigourney Weaver as Ripley in the ‘Aliens’ sequel and weren’t released to the public until 2019 for the franchise’s 40th anniversary. On the heel you’ll also find the logo for Weyland-Yutani, the evil mega-corporation so desperate to obtain a living xenomorph.
Reebok originally released the BB 4000 II as a low-top basketball sneaker in 1989 and brought it back in 2022. Prior to its proper relaunch, Dime chose the silhouette for a collaboration in 2020 in which it featured the famously botched Ecco Homo restoration as the tongue tag graphic. Angel Reese is also getting her own colorway of the sneaker as part of her first Reebok collection.
The Alien x Reebok BB 4000 II Mid will release August 27, just over a week after “Alien: Romulus” hits theaters, on Reebok’s website. Pricing is set at $170.
