‘America’s Got Talent’ exclusive clip: The judges meet Schumacher, an animal mask illusion act [WATCH]
During the Tuesday, July 16 episode of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” the judges will meet Schumacher, an animal mask illusion act from Ibaraki and Saitama, Japan. The two men, Ryutaro Nakamura and Yuya Shimada, will entertain the studio audience and the panelists (Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and Howie Mandel) with their hilarious routine, in which they create different animals out of their bodies. Watch the “America’s Got Talent” exclusive clip above.
The video begins with Ryu and Yuyu standing at attention silently, but when the record skips, they jump to attention. One man rips off his clothes, revealing a white bodysuit, while the other retrieves a dog mask from behind a curtain. “What is going on?” host Terry Crews wonders aloud. As soon as the mask gets placed over the first man’s head, he sits up on his arms and legs in reverse position and turns his neck, perfectly mimicking a dog.

The clip cuts off just as Simon begins giggling, so you’ll have to tune in to “Auditions 7” on Tuesday night to see what the judges have to say about Schumacher’s full performance. Whatever the case, one thing is clear: an act like this has never appeared on the “AGT” stage in its nearly two decades on the air. That seems to be the overall theme of Season 19, as several judges have pointed out during the auditions that the contestants are bringing new and inventive talents to the big stage.
Looking ahead on the “America’s Got Talent” schedule, “Auditions 8” will air on July 23, 2024, but then the program will take a break between July 26 and August 11 for the Summer Olympics on NBC. Have no fear, your favorite reality TV show will return in mid-August with the rest of the auditions, followed by the all-important live shows.
So far during Season 19, the following acts have received coveted Golden Buzzers, sending them straight through to the live shows: comedian Learnmore Jonasi (pushed by Terry), singer Richard Goodall (Heidi #1), singer Liv Warfield (Simon #1), drone group Sky Elements (Simon #2), dance crew Legion (Sofia #1), dancer Brent Street (Howie #1), singer Pranysqa Mishra (Heidi #2) and singer Reid Wilson (Howie #2).
