America’s Got Talent Finale: Did the Right Act Win Season 19?
Congratulations are in order… for Terry Crews, who can finally go on vocal rest following the Season 19 finale of America’s Got Talent. After screaming all those names for the past few months, he definitely needs it.
Ten acts remained atop Tuesday’s two-hour live broadcast: Japanese dance group Airfootworks, Australian dance group Brent Street, vocal powerhouse Dee Dee Simon, the Hakuna Matata Acrobats, comedian Learnmore Jonasi, singing janitor Richard Goodall, dog act Roni Sagi & Rhythm, aerialist couple Sebastián and Sonia, drone group Sky Elements, and quick-change stunner Solange Kardinaly.

When polled after last week’s performance episode, an overwhelming 54% of TVLine readers said that Richard Goodall should win Season 19, followed by Roni Sagi & Rhythm in second place with 15%, and Solange Kardinaly and Sky Elements tied for third with 10% of the votes.
So, did our readers’ wishes come true? Let’s get to the results of Tuesday’s finale, which also welcomed back several beloved acts from previous seasons, including the Detroit Youth Choir. Here’s how things shook out for this season’s top five:
BOTTOM FIVE | Airfootworks, Brent Street, Dee Dee Simon, Hakuna Matata Acrobats, Sebastián and Sonia,
FIFTH PLACE | Learnmore Jonasi
FOURTH PLACE | Solange Kardinaly
THIRD PLACE | Sky Elements
SECOND PLACE | Roni Sagi & Rhythm
And that leaves Richard Goodall as the winner of America’s Got Talent Season 19! We can’t exactly say we’re surprised, but hey, isn’t it nice when the people get what they want?
Truly, Goodall’s victory in the Season 19 finale has been a foregone conclusion since his powerful audition went viral back in May. Not only did his cover of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin'” earn him Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer, but he followed that up with consistently impressive performances throughout the season. That track record, coupled with a winning personality (“I’m not a fancy person … I’m just having fun, and I’m trying to make people happy”) made him an undeniable fan favorite.
